A downloadable demo for Windows

Anything Machine is an early playtest demo for a top-down action survival game where you type ridiculous item requests into a machine and try to survive the results.

Want a vampire turret? A shark cannon? A lava skateboard? Type it in and see what the machine gives you.

This is Demo v0.1, so the game is still rough and actively being developed. I’m mostly looking for feedback on whether the game is fun, understandable, too easy or too hard, and what item combinations players try.

Current demo includes:

- A short Story Run

- A final boss

- A sarcastic helper bot

- Typed item requests

- Equipment slots

- Regret specials

Controls:

- WASD: Move

- Mouse: Aim

- LMB / Space: Attack

- E: Use the request machine / interact

- Q: Consumable

- R: Deployable

- Shift: Movement item

- F: Regret special

- Esc / P: Pause

This is an unsigned Windows test build, so Windows may show a warning when running it.

Feedback I’m looking for:

- Did you understand what to do?

- What item did you request first?

- What item was the most fun?

- Was the game too easy, too hard, or about right?

- Did you beat the boss?

- Did anything feel confusing, broken, or unfair?
